As part of the renovation of Re:Hope West End Church, The Pop Up is designed to be both an evening café and a flexible modular set of furniture that can be used for events- from community meals to makers markets. With each section on castor wheels, the furniture can be moved around easily, lined up, and clipped together in a variety of ways depending on how the room is set up. When not in use, plywood covers transform the pop up into a mobile room divider, creating flexibility in the space during the week for meetings and break out workspaces.
The design of The Pop Up included the café branding, lighting, up-cycled school chairs, and modular trestle tables that can be compactly stored away when not in use.
